Strictly Style Ballroom Dance Competition
Ballroom Dancing Lesson, Demonstration and 'Strictly Come Dancing" Style Dance Competition
If you loved Strictly Come Dancing from the BBC then you'll love our Ballroom/Latin dance class, demo and ballroom dance competition.
This is a very popular offering for corporate afternoon and evening events where you want to relax after a day of corporate presentations. Below is an example of how it can work. This package is however completely tailorable to your requirements.
Ballroom/Latin dance class
From 1 to 2 hours we will teach you all (either as one group, or in smaller groups) a few steps for you to put together into a ballroom routine. Normally we will teach you two different styles, e.g. Cha-Cha & Tango.
Selection of Competition Couples
Usually we have couples who volunteer... if not then we're happy to choose the dancers, or for you to nominate them! 4 to 6 couples makes for a great competition.
Extra Training
Each of the couples in the competition will be given their own song which they will dance to. They will be taken off by our dance teachers and given extra tuition to develop their routines. This occurs in whatever free time there is... e.g. whilst everyone else is getting ready for dinner.
Comperé
We can supply a comperé who will be there to guide you through the whole event... and entertain of course!
Ballroom Demonstration
After dinner our dance teaching couples will come out and give you a brief demonstration of how it's meant to be done.
The 'Strictly' Ballroom Dance Competition
First we'll need a judging panel. Our dance teachers can help judge, and/or you can supply judges (CEO, director, manager etc). Then each couple will come out and do their ballroom routine. Everyone will cheer! Once they are all finished we will bring them back onto the dancefloor to be judged.
Naturally this tends to be a whole lot of fun and it's not meant to be taken too seriously.
Prizes
You can supply as many prizes as you like. We obviously need a prize/trophies for the winning couple, but it's also great to have other fun prizes for the other participants... as well as relating back to the class in the afternoon.
